Job Description
The Role
As an Assistant Company Secretary at Automic Group, you will be a key part of our experienced team. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating meetings and managing a portfolio of public listed, public unlisted, and proprietary Australian entities. You will also assist with meeting periodic reporting requirements, manage shareholder meetings, and prepare director notices and lodgements required under listing rules and Corporations Act. We provide in-house training to help you gain exposure to the ASX while advancing your career within the organisation.
Responsibilities
Assist the Company Secretary with managing a portfolio of public listed, public unlisted, and proprietary Australian entities
Coordinate meetings including board and committee papers, attendance, and minute-taking
Assist with meeting periodic reporting requirements
Manage shareholder meetings including drafting notice of meetings
Prepare director notices and lodgements required under listing rules and Corporations Act
Administer all functions required for public listed entities, including preparing and lodging all ASX communications
Support Automic Group's other services through invoicing and cross-selling opportunities
Desired Skills and Experience
Demonstrated Capabilities
Relevant tertiary qualification
2+ years experience in a Company Secretarial role
Knowledge of Corporations Act and ASIC requirements
Exposure to the ASX
Highly organised with attention to detail
Strong communication, relationship management, and presentation skills
Ability to work independently or collaboratively
Exposure to JORC reporting advantageous but not essential
