Job Description
The Role
Automic’s innovative technology platform has been designed and built in-house by a team of highly experienced developers. Leveraging the latest tools and practices – including but not limited to Amazon web services infrastructure, continuous delivery, Java Spring framework, and Angular. Automic’s platform is highly adaptive, enabling us to continually enhance our solution to meet client requirements.
As a Business Analyst you will analyse and assess business processes and systems, gather and document requirements, support testing and providing assistance in delivery of systems to end users.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects and work with a diverse range of stakeholders from operational to executive level. They will play a pivotal role in the requirements gathering process, defining scope, documenting processes, and identify solutions to support business initiatives.
Responsibilities
Oversee business analysis and documentation for Automic, collaborating with senior management, IT, sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather and prioritise requirements for new features and enhancements.
Facilitate and lead design and requirements workshops.
Work closely with the development team and UX designers to define and clarify user stories.
Plan and execute tests, including but not limited to functional and regression testing.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and articulate high-value business priorities and minimum viable products, thoroughly documenting these elements.
Develop effective solutions to business challenges in partnership with the development team.
Continuously enhance and evolve agile practices and tools to improve team productivity.
Desired Skills and Experience
Demonstrated Capabilities
3+ years’ experience in a relevant Business Analyst role.
3+ years’ experience working within an Agile environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience within the financial services sector, preferably in registry or trading environments, is highly desirable.
Proven ability to deliver across multiple full life-cycle enterprise software projects.
Skilled in drafting clear, concise, and outcome-focused user stories.
Strong capability in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation through user stories and storyboards.
Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed teams.
Proficient in using Jira and Confluence.
Familiarity with Behaviour-Driven Development and tools such as Cucumber (Specification by Example) is highly advantageous.
