Who We Are

Automic Group is Australia’s #1 technology-led investor administration company, trusted by over 1,150 clients, including 750+ ASX-listed companies. We combine smart, cloud-based technology with a highly driven and collaborative team to deliver innovative solutions in registry, employee share plans, and governance, finance, ESG, and investor relations advisory.

The Role

Location: Sydney or Melbourne

As a Principal, you’ll be a leader within our Investor Relations Advisory team. You’ll manage a portfolio of clients and design impactful investor engagement strategies. You’ll work hands-on with clients throughout their financial calendar events - including results, AGMs, roadshows, and investor days - engaging with the investment community and serving as a trusted advisor to Boards and C-suite executives.

Clients will look to you for strategic advice and support to strengthen their position, profile, and engagement with current and potential investors. You’ll be joining a talented team of professionals with backgrounds across buy-side, sell-side, in-house IR, strategic communications, and media.

As a leader, you’ll also help grow the business, mentor team members, and represent Automic at industry events, while being part of a wider, dynamic professional services team.

What You’ll Do

  • Shape and execute investor relations strategies that make an impact.

  • Build and nurture relationships with investors, analysts, and advisors.

  • Advise on corporate transactions, ASX/ASIC disclosures, and investor communications.

  • Bring a deep understanding of market dynamics and identify opportunities to grow the business.

  • Mentor and inspire team members as the business continues to expand.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • 10–12+ years in investor relations, capital markets, or advisory.

  • Deep understanding of capital markets and strong financial and commercial acumen.

  • Proactive, with a growth mindset toward clients and colleagues.

  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor others.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and influence key stakeholders.

  • Proven success in client acquisition, retention, and portfolio management.

Diversity & Inclusion

Creating a workforce that actively embraces diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging is key to our success. We believe in treating everyone fairly — removing barriers, striving for equity, and embracing diversity are woven into our values and behaviour.

We actively encourage team members from all backgrounds, abilities, and communities to join Automic. We are committed to providing a work environment that enables everyone to thrive, whatever their circumstances.
