We’re seeking a Senior Associate to join our Payment Operations team, playing a key role in delivering accurate, reliable, and high-quality payment services across Automic’s Shared Services function.

This role is well suited to someone who brings strong technical capability in payment operations and tax reporting, combined with sound judgement, an eye for detail, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Associates, internal stakeholders, and clients to ensure payment processes are delivered with precision, consistency, and care.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Manage complex dividend and distribution services for listed and unlisted clients, ensuring payments are accurate and compliant.

  • Oversee outbound payment approvals, including international transactions and sweep payments.

  • Review and approve work completed by Associates, providing feedback and guidance to support development and consistency.

  • Assist with ATO reporting lodgements (AIIR, QTFN) and production of tax statements.

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks while driving improvements to systems and processes.

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring proactive communication and dependable service.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

  • 2+ years’ experience in payment processing, trust management, or registry/fund operations.

  • Strong understanding of tax reporting requirements and trust distribution processes.

  • Proven experience reviewing work, managing approvals, and supporting team capability.

  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with workflow tools such as JIRA.
