Supporting Automic’s platinum and strategic clients, this senior, hands-on role blends technical expertise, confident client leadership, and people management, while contributing to execution excellence, client retention and revenue growth across our Capital Markets offering.

You’ll act as a trusted adviser to issuers and external stakeholders, lead high-profile transactions end to end, and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex capital markets transactions, including entitlement offers, SPPs, IPOs and off-market takeover offers

  • Act as transaction lead for platinum and strategic clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and risk-managed execution

  • Lead client, advisor and stakeholder meetings with confidence and credibility

  • Proactively identify risks, issues and client-focused solutions, escalating where required

  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, risk management and regulatory compliance

  • Manage, coach and develop team members, building capability across transaction complexity

  • Effectively allocate resources across concurrent transactions to balance delivery, quality and development

  • Support cross-sell opportunities and contribute to revenue growth initiatives

  • Represent Automic in the market through advisor relationships, networking and industry participation

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience delivering capital markets transactions (entitlement offers, SPPs, IPOs, off-market takeovers)

  • Proven capability leading complex transactions for premium or high-profile clients

  • Confidence leading client meetings and engaging with legal advisers, brokers and banks

  • Strong judgement under pressure with a proactive, risk-aware mindset

  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and delegation

  • A commercial lens, with the ability to identify client solutions and growth opportunities

  • Strong systems literacy, with advanced Excel capability and experience using workflow tools (e.g. JIRA)

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, commerce, law or a related discipline
