Job Description

The Head of WA is responsible for growing Automic’s client base and revenue in the Perth market. Driving new business with corporate clients through the sales of Company Registry, Employee Share Plan, Investor Relations Analytics and Advisory Services. 

The role focuses on identifying and converting new opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and working closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional client experiences. The Head of WA is accountable for achieving assigned sales targets and building strong relationships with prospects, establishing Automic as a trusted partner. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Regional Leadership & Representation  

  • Serve as Automic’s senior commercial representative in WA. 

  • Provide leadership, cohesion and alignment across WA teams and functions. 

  • Drive communication, engagement and cultural initiatives to uphold Automic’s values and leadership standards. 

  • Represent Automic to clients, regulators, advisers and industry bodies to strengthen brand presence and relationships. 

2. New Business Development & Pipeline Management 

  • Identify, prospect, and engage target corporate clients to generate new revenue opportunities. 

  • Build and manage a structured sales pipeline, tracking opportunities, conversion rates, and forecasted revenue in CRM. 

  • Conduct discovery calls, presentations, and pitches that articulate Automic’s value proposition. 

  • Qualify leads and opportunities and manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement to close. 

  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, events, and lead generation initiatives. 

3. Account Acquisition & Relationship Building 

  • Develop trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across target accounts. 

  • Understand client needs, operational context, and regulatory environment to position Automic’s solutions credibly. 

  • Act as the commercial point of contact for prospect accounts, handling negotiations and proposal development. 

  • Maintain consistent communication and engagement throughout the sales process. 

4. Collaboration with Internal Teams 

  • Partner with Customer Success, Professional Services, Solutions, Product, and Operations teams to ensure feasibility and successful handover post-sale. 

  • Provide market insights and feedback to Product and Leadership on trends, competitors, and client needs. 

  • Collaborate on joint go-to-market initiatives and strategic campaigns. 

5. Compliance & Governance 

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards. 

  • Maintain accurate records of prospect engagement and sales activity in CRM. 

Key Relationships 

  • Sales Team & Commercial Leadership: Align on pipeline, forecasts, commercial proposals, and strategies. 

  • Customer Success & Professional Services: Support smooth onboarding and transition of new clients. 

  • Product, Risk, Legal & Operations: Ensure feasibility, compliance, and provide market insights. 

  • Marketing: Collaborate on campaigns, events, and lead generation activities. 

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role:-

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in Investment banks / Equity Capital Markets / Financial services or corporate solutions. 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Customer Success, Product, Operations). 
  • Demonstrated track record in new business development and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales reporting frameworks. 
  • Strong commercial capability including proposal development, negotiation, and solution-selling.
