Job Description

About the Role   

The Senior Associate, Capital Markets is a key individual contributor role focused on the end to end delivery of corporate actions and capital markets transactions on behalf of Automic’s clients. 

This is an operational and client facing role, well suited to a professional with 3–5 years’ experience in capital markets, corporate actions, share registry, or financial markets roles. You’ll manage multiple concurrent transactions, work closely with clients and advisers, and play a hands‑on role in execution, accuracy, and delivery. 

The role works closely with Associate level team members and contributes to team capability through informal mentoring and knowledge sharing. 

Key Responsibilities include:   

  • Deliver end to end corporate actions and capital markets transactions (including entitlement offers, SPPs, IPOs, and offmarket takeovers), acting as the daytoday transaction contact or deputy lead as required  
  • Execute operational activities such as allotments, issuance, reconciliation, settlement, and preparation of transaction documentation and reporting  
  • Manage client communication and internal coordination to meet key milestones, statutory deadlines, and regulatory requirements  
  • Identify and manage execution risks, escalate issues appropriately, and balance competing priorities across multiple live transactions  
  • Support team capability and execution quality through knowledge sharing, peer reviews, informal mentoring, and contribution to continuous improvement initiatives 

Desired Skills and Experience

About you!   

To be successful in this role, you will have: 

  • 3–5 years’ experience working on markets transactions  
  • Strong Excel capability, including reconciliations, data validation, and transaction reporting 
  • Proven ability to manage transactions end to end in a deadline driven, operational environment  
  • Strong client facing relationship management skills, with confidence communicating via email, phone, and meetings  
  • Highly detail oriented, with a sound understanding of risk, controls, and compliance  
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solutions focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure  
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a related discipline (preferred).  
  • Strong interest in financial markets
