Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a Solution Analyst – Data Migration to play a critical role in delivering Listed Registry and Employee Share Plan (ESP) transitions.

This is a highly specialised role where you’ll take ownership of end-to-end data migration design and execution, ensuring data is accurately transformed, reconciled, and onboarded into Automic’s platforms. You’ll sit at the intersection of business requirements, data structures, and system configuration, helping ensure seamless and high-quality client transitions.

You’ll be involved across the full lifecycle—from data mapping and transformation through to reconciliation, testing, and cutover, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute end-to-end data migration strategies (ETL: extract, transform, load)
  • Lead data mapping between incumbent systems and Automic platforms
  • Own migration specifications across shareholder registers, holdings, transactions, corporate actions, and ESP data
  • Analyse complex datasets from registries, administrators, and ESP providers
  • Define transformation rules and business logic for data conversion
  • Identify data gaps, anomalies, and quality issues early in the lifecycle
  • Execute migration activities including dry runs and production cutovers
  • Design and perform reconciliation frameworks with defined tolerances
  • Investigate and resolve data breaks across balances, transactions, and registers
  • Produce migration reports and support data sign-off
  • Translate data requirements into system-ready configurations
  • Ensure alignment between data structures and platform setup
  • Support integrations (file interfaces, APIs, and external providers)
  • Support SIT and UAT with data-driven test scenarios
  • Validate outputs across systems post-migration
  • Participate in cutover planning and execution (including weekend activity where required)
  • Support post go-live hypercare and issue resolution

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in data migration within financial services, registry, or ESP environments
  • Deep understanding of data structures (shareholder registers, holdings, transactions, ESP data models)
  • Strong SQL and advanced Excel skills for data interrogation and analysis
  • Proven experience with data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation frameworks
  • Experience working across system implementations, migrations, or transitions
  • Understanding of integration concepts (APIs, file-based interfaces)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work across both technical and business stakeholders

About You

You’re a detail-oriented and analytical problem solver who enjoys working with complex data and systems. You’re comfortable getting into the detail, but also understand the broader business context and client impact.

You take ownership of outcomes, work well under pressure, and enjoy being part of delivering high-stakes projects.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • A structured and methodical approach to problem-solving
