About the Role 

We’re excited to offer an opportunity for the role of Associate Principal within our Investor Relations team. This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Perth

This role is focussed on combining strategic client leadership, commercial contribution, and team mentorship. As an Associate Principal, you’ll manage sophisticated investor relations accounts while helping drive client growth, service excellence, and broader team capability. 

You’ll work closely with Principals and senior stakeholders across the business, supporting listed and pre-listing entities through critical investor communications, disclosure obligations, corporate transactions, and engagement strategies. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to broaden their exposure across client leadership, commercial development, and strategic advisory work within a fast-moving and highly collaborative environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead day-to-day and strategic relationships across a portfolio of investor relations clients  

  • Coordinate complex disclosure programs, ASX announcements, and reporting initiatives  

  • Support clients with investor communication strategies, AGM planning, results briefings, and market engagement activities  

  • Identify opportunities to deepen and expand existing client relationships  

  • Support proposals, onboarding, pricing discussions, and renewal activity  

  • Contribute to revenue pipeline discussions and commercial initiatives  

  • Deliver high-quality, compliant investor relations support and advisory services  

  • Provide market insights and investor feedback to support client decision-making  

  • Partner with Registry, Legal, Marketing, and broader Automic teams to deliver integrated solutions  

  • Coach and support Senior Managers and team members on complex client matters  

  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and capability uplift across the team  

  • Support Principals with market intelligence, proposals, and strategic initiatives  

  • Represent Automic Markets at industry events and networking opportunities  

  • Build relationships with brokers, analysts, advisers, and market participants  

  • Support promotion of Automic’s investor relations offering externally  

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience 

  • Strong experience in investor relations, corporate advisory, financial communications, or capital markets  

  • Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated client relationships  

  • Experience supporting or leading clients through IPOs, AGMs, corporate transactions, and disclosure events  

  • Strong understanding of ASX Listing Rules and governance requirements  

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments  

  • Strong commercial awareness and client growth mindset  

  • Experience mentoring or supporting team development highly regarded
