This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building scalable AI applications, agentic workflows, and automation capabilities using Go and Python. If you enjoy turning ideas into reliable, secure, production-ready solutions, this is the role for you.

This hybrid opportunity is open to candidates in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build and deploy production-grade AI applications, agents and automation solutions.

  • Develop scalable services and APIs using Go and Python.

  • Build and optimise LLM-powered solutions, agentic workflows and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities.

  • Integrate AI services into existing products, platforms and business processes.

  • Monitor, evaluate and continuously improve the performance, reliability and security of AI solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineers and technical leaders to establish best practices for AI engineering.

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong Python development skills, with experience in Go or another statically typed language, such as C++, C#, Java or Rust.

  • Strong software engineering experience delivering scalable production systems.

  • Commercial experience building and deploying AI and LLM-powered applications.

  • Experience with agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and AI-enabled automation.

  • A proven ability to translate business problems into practical, measurable technical solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

  • A pragmatic, outcome-focused mindset and passion for building AI solutions that deliver real impact.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Demonstrated ongoing learning in AI engineering, large language models and distributed software systems.
