About the Role
The Associate, Capital Markets supports the end-to-end delivery of corporate actions for Automic’s clients.
This operational and client-facing role is suited to a professional with approximately 1-3 years’ experience in capital markets, corporate actions, share registry or financial markets operations. You’ll support multiple concurrent transactions, work closely with clients, advisers and internal teams, and contribute to accurate and timely execution.
Working alongside senior members of the Capital Markets team, you’ll continue developing your transaction management expertise while gaining exposure to a broad range of listed-market activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the end-to-end delivery of corporate actions, including entitlement offers, share purchase plans, IPOs and off-market takeovers.
Complete operational activities including allotments, securities issuance, reconciliations, settlements, transaction documentation and reporting.
Assist with client communication and internal coordination to meet transaction milestones, statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements.
Manage competing priorities across multiple live transactions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Contribute to peer reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Approximately 1-3 years’ relevant experience in capital markets, corporate actions, share registry, financial markets operations or a related environment.
Strong Excel skills, including experience with reconciliations, data validation and transaction reporting.
Experience supporting transactions or operational processes in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong client service and relationship-management skills, with confidence communicating by email, phone and in meetings.
Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of operational risk, controls and compliance.
A collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business or a related discipline is preferred.
A strong interest in financial markets and a desire to continue developing your capital markets expertise.
